Hey I’m here again with a time-lapse video! This time I tried capturing the night sky, and I’m quite pleased with the results for my first try! Praise the Lord!
I’ve been planning this for about a week, to do it on the 19th when the moon was new so its light wouldn’t interfere with the stars. So that night I set it up, hit my remote clicker, and let her run through the night. Here’s the video result:
You can see the milky way, shooting stars, and the works! Pretty awesome! What an awesome God we serve, who reveals His glory in His creation! I’ll definitely be working at doing this again sometime!
Psalm 19:
The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above
1 proclaims his handiwork.
2 Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words,
whose voice is not heard.
4 Their voice goes out through all the earth,
and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
5 which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
6 Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
and its circuit to the end of them,
and there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 The law of the
Lord is perfect,
the testimony of the
Lord is sure,
8 the precepts of the
Lord are right,
the commandment of the
Lord is pure,
9 the fear of the
Lord is clean,
the rules of the
Lord are true,
and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
and drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them is your servant warned;
in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can discern his errors?
Declare me innocent from
fhidden faults.
13 Keep back your servant also from presumptuous sins;
let them not have dominion over me!
Then I shall be blameless,
and innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable in your sight,
O
Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

22 Jun 2012Wow! That wa always loved the night sky. 🙂 I also sorta laughed when I noticed that (at least it appeared that) the sprinkler was in the exact same place for each slide. 🙂

22 Jun 2012Haha that is pretty funny. The photos were 25 second exposures, so the sprinkler on most slides should be a blur for the most part except when it halts for a second when it hits the end of its turn cycle, so that's probably why it looks like it stays in one spot. That's just the spot it stays longest. 🙂

22 Jun 2012Praise the Lord! His creation takes my breath away! The time lapse turned out really well. There are so many colors! And the shooting stars… wow! This night capture is really amazing. Even the clouds that crossed the sky had color. Perfect Psalm to go with it. Amazing! I will sing of His mighty power and glory!

22 Jun 2012Thanks! Jared said it might actually be satellites rather than shooting stars. Still pretty cool! Praise the Lord indeed!
